Throughout your child’s time at our Preschool we will keep you informed, consulted and included in all aspects of the playgroup and your child’s development.  You may have access to any records or assessments that involve your own child as well as their ongoing Learning Journal.

Drop Off

You are required to sign your child in and out of the Preschool at the start and end of every session.  Please use the pegs outside our classroom to hang your child’s coat and bag.

Collecting your child

Please collect your child promptly at the end of their session.  It can be upsetting to some children if you are not there at the expected time and this also makes the administration difficult.  Failure to do so will incur a fine.  In line with other preschools and the Preschool Learning Alliance, the fines are £10 for every 10 minutes or part thereof.  Therefore any parent/carer 10 minutes late will be charged £10, after 15 minutes, £20.  Parents who are persistently late will be charged £10 for every 5 minutes of lateness.  You will be billed accordingly.

Wellies & Spare Clothing

Please provide your child with a pair of wellies and spare clothing (labelled) so that we can enjoy getting wet, muddy and messy and then nice and dry again.  Please also provide a pair of “indoor shoes” so that they can leave the mud outside!

Lunch Club

If your child is staying for lunch please provide a healthy packed lunch, with a drink in a named water bottle.  Grapes, cherries, tomatoes etc must be cut in half.  View our Lunch Ideas

Please note that the car park on site is for staff only.  Please do not use the school driveway to drop off your child. Parking for parents and carers is at the Rugby Club car park at King George Park.

Our Committee

We have a committee of parents and staff who govern the day to day running of our Preschool.  You are very welcome to join as a member or a volunteer at any time and to offer ideas or suggestions for improvement.  Please contact us if you would like to find out more.

Stay & Play Sessions

We welcome all parents and carers to stay for a session with their child to see how we run and to get involved with the fun.  Please don’t hesitate to schedule a date with us!

We hold various events during the year, including different sponsored events and Christmas and Leavers parties. For these events to run we appreciate parent/carer helpers.  A request will be made in advance of each event.

We regularly do creative activities with the children, such as cooking.  To enable us to do this we ask for a termly donation of £5 to cover the cost of the ingredients and extra supplies.  This money is also used to provide children with a healthy snack, such as fruit or vegetables at each session they attend.
